Katy’s yoga classes balance mischief and whimsy with anatomy and philosophy. Her classes keep you out of your head and in the room while you listen for the careful next cues. She loves to teach a fiery Power vinyasa class just as much as she enjoys a juicy Slow Flow. You’ll find a dance party in her Sculpt classes as she hypes the room with killer playlists and spicy strength moves. Katy’s creative streak comes to play in her sequencing choices and you may catch some of her dance background through her transitions and music choices.
Katy believes in the power of community and that yoga can truly being humans together. You *can* yoga anywhere, but the impact of a group class can’t be found just anywhere. Katy’s classes create a collective positive experience that will leave you feeling fulfilled and connected: to yourself, to your humanity and to your community. In that collective experience, as students breathe and move, they create a pulse, sponda, and can let go and let community hold them. Through yoga, we can create a ripple effect to send grace throughout our lives.
Katy has worked in fitness and yoga since 2011 and is a 500 RYT. She continues to learn constantly, and takes her role building and holding space for community at YogaSix Sammamish seriously.
